Site will service southeast U.S. with freight brokerage, intermodal, and transportation management, firm says.
Transportation and logistics services provider Dupré Logistics has opened a branch office in Tennessee, saying the new site will help the asset-based firm expand its range of freight brokerage, intermodal, and transportation management services, the company said Sept. 13.
Lafayette, La.-based Dupre opened the new Strategic Capacity Services (SCS) branch in the Knoxville area, located at the intersection of Interstate 40 and Interstate 75, where it is centrally located to serve the Southeast region, the firm said.
Dupre named Chip Hawkins as manager of the new office, which will be the company’s 12th SCS location to open since August 2016. The office will initially have four people working in it, but Dupre is looking to hire additional workers.
Dupre’s services include energy and chemical transport, dedicated truck transportation, site logistics, and freight brokerage, with a specialty in tanker, hazmat, petrochemical transportation, and industrial and consumer products supply chain solutions.
